On the afternoon of September 4, the Vietnam team had a friendly match with the Nam Dinh Steel Blue Club at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center (Hanoi). This is an opportunity for the coaching staff to test the force during the September training period.
In this match, head coach Dinh Hong Vinh arranged many pillars such as Duy Manh, Hoang Duc, Thanh Chung, Tien Anh, and at the same time gave young goalkeeper Van Viet the opportunity to start.
However, Nam Dinh club will take the field with a squad of all 11 foreign players, including Romulo da Silva, Caio Cesar, Percy Tau and Kyle Hudlin, to prepare for 4 arenas in the season.

The team from Thanh Nam dominated thanks to their superior physique, technique and fighting ability. After many stops, Romulo opened the score 1-0 in the first half.
In the second half, the Vietnam team replaced almost the entire squad to experiment with new factors, while Nam Dinh still kept the foreign players on the field.
The difference in the game was clearly shown when Mahmoud Eid scored, while Kyle Hudlin scored a double, sealing a 4-0 victory for the V.League representative.

The Vietnam national team with many new players participating for the first time has not created the necessary cohesion. The players coordinated relatively well at some points, but lacked strength in the competition and were lax in defense. At the end of the match, the decline in physical strength made it impossible for the team to maintain the pressure against the opponent.
This result helps the coaching staff have more data to evaluate and screen the force. Despite the failure, the friendly match is considered a valuable experience for the players, because Nam Dinh club owns a squad of top-quality foreign players in V.League.

On September 7, the Vietnam team will have another friendly match with the Hanoi Police team, continuing the preparation process for tasks in 2025.
