Vietnamese athletes classify injuries before competing in ASEAN Para Games 13

Athletes begin to be classified for injuries to be ready to compete officially at ASEAN Para Games 13.

Information from the Vietnamese Sports Delegation for People with Disabilities in Thailand said that the Organizing Committee conducted injury classification checks in the ASEAN Para Games 13 sports from January 17 to January 19.

Disability classification for athletes is a mandatory procedure at the Para Games.

ASEAN Para Games 13 will open on the evening of January 20. After that, the sports will enter competition until January 26.

The Vietnamese disabled sports delegation was arranged to stay at hotel locations in Nakhon Ratchasima (Thailand) according to the regulations of the ASEAN Para Games 13 Organizing Committee.

Head of the Vietnamese Sports Delegation for People with Disabilities - Ms. Le Thi Hoang Yen met and grasped the preparation situation of sports teams at training points before officially competing.

On the evening of January 17, the Flag Raising Ceremony of the Vietnamese Sports Delegation for People with Disabilities was held by the Organizing Committee. On January 20, the Vietnamese Sports Delegation for People with Disabilities will arrange 50 members to attend the Opening Ceremony of the Games.

At ASEAN Para Games 13, the Vietnamese Para Sports Delegation registered 141 athletes competing in sports including athletics (35 athletes, 2 track and field athletes), swimming (29), weightlifting (13), badminton (10), table tennis (15), chess (18), judo (4), boccia (3), archery (8), tennis (2) and swordplay (4).
