On the morning of November 24 in Hanoi, the 105th Asian Athletics Council Conference officially opened in Hanoi.
This is the first time the Asian Athletics Federation has coordinated with the Vietnam Athletics Federation to organize this important Conference.
19 members of the Asian Athletics Federation Council were present in Hanoi to attend the Conference, thereby working on many important contents to discuss towards basic decisions to develop Asian athletics in the upcoming period.
At the opening session, Director of the Department of Physical Education and Sports of Vietnam, Mr. Nguyen Danh Hoang Viet, highly appreciated the organization of the Asian Athletics Federation Conference in Vietnam and affirmed that the Ministry of Culture, Sports & Tourism and the Department of Physical Education and Sports of Vietnam actively support the maximum development of athletics in Vietnam as well as seek developments from the Asian Athletics Federation.
President of the Asian Athletics Confederation, Mr. Dahlan Jumaan Al Hamad, chaired the working sessions of this Conference. Chairman Dahlan Jumaan Al Hamad affirmed that the discussions will focus on many issues to propose specific tasks and decisions to help Asian athletics develop sustainably in the new period.
Before the working session of the Conference took place, the President of the Asian Athletics Confederation sent his best wishes to the countries with teams participating in the 33rd SEA Games, including Vietnam, to compete successfully.
General Secretary of the Vietnam Athletics Federation, Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung, is the representative of the host participating in this Conference.
We hope that many decisions of Asian athletics will be made as well as Vietnam Athletics will have more opportunities to receive support from Asian athletics programs, said Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung. This conference will organize a meeting of contents in the form of a closed meeting.
