The 2025 Southeast Asian Women's Football Championship will kick off from August 6 to 19, with the participation of 8 teams. This year's tournament is hosted by Vietnam, taking place at two locations, Lach Tray Stadium (Hai Phong) and Viet Tri Stadium (Phu Tho).

According to the draw results, Group A includes the Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia and Cambodia women's teams; Group B includes Myanmar, the Philippines, Timor-Leste and Australia U23. The matches in Group A, the semi-finals, the third-place match and the final will take place at Lach Tray Stadium, while Group B will compete in Viet Tri.

The Vietnam women's team gathered in Hai Phong from July 30 and had its first training session on the afternoon of July 31. Under the guidance of coach Mai Duc Chung, the whole team practiced in the late afternoon to avoid hot weather.

In the group stage, the Vietnam women's team started with two matches against Cambodia (8.6) and Indonesia (9.8), before facing Thailand on August 12. The match against Thailand is considered the "key" to the top spot.

All matches of the Vietnamese women's team at the 2025 Southeast Asian Championship will be broadcast live on the channel system of FPT Play - the tournament's television rights owner.
