The draw for the 2026 Asian Cup Women's Football Championship final round was held at the Sydney Town Hall (Australia) this afternoon (July 29).
Vietnam's representatives attending the draw ceremony were Ms. Nguyen Thanh Ha - Member of the Women's Football Committee of the Asian Football Confederation, Deputy Secretary General of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF); Mr. Mai Duc Chung - head coach of the Vietnam women's football team and captain Huynh Nhu.

Coach Mai Duc Chung said: In my opinion, Japan is still the top team in Asia. I predict they will win the top spot in Group C. The Vietnamese women's team will have to compete for the second place in the group with the two remaining opponents, India and Taiwan (China).
These opponents are all strong and will be difficult challenges. We need to be well prepared and have high determination in the upcoming final round".
Talking about the draw results, player Huynh Nhu is excited about the upcoming opponents of the Vietnam women's team in the final round, taking place in March next year.
"The opponents in the group are quite familiar with the Vietnam women's team. As if thinking this is a group where we are completely capable of winning a ticket to the quarter-finals, Huynh Nhu shared.

The 2026 Women's Asian Cup finals will take place from January 1 to March 21, 2026 in the three cities of Sydney, Perth and Gold Coast. The top two teams in each group and the two third-placed teams with the best results will qualify for the quarter-finals.
