Normally, her recent posts received about 500-800 likes, but her post returning to competition received a "storm of likes" from colleagues and fans, proving Pham Thi Yen's great appeal on the catwalk.
Controversial situation in the Vietnam - Thailand match
In the second set between Vietnam and Thailand at the 2025 SEA V.League, when the score was 21-19 in favor of the home team, the Vietnamese player had a very strong smash but Thailand saved the ball to counterattack.
However, coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet complained when he thought the ball had hit the floor. The slow-motion video also shows that most of the ball has touched the floor, but the referee still reserved the decision to give that score to the Thai team.
This situation caused a lot of controversy on Vietnamese volleyball forums. The majority of fans did not agree with the referee's decision. If Vietnam had points at an important stage, the result of the second set could have been different.
