This morning (March 4), Xuan Truong's Buriram United Club left for Japan to participate in the group stage of the AFC Champions League 2019. The opponent of the Thai team is Urawa Reds Diamond Club - representing Japan.
Xuan Truong's name being included in the list of participants in the AFC Champions League is a surprise to many people. The Buriram board chose Xuan Truong because player Hajime Hosogai had not recovered from his injury yet.
Xuan Truong received admiration from many fans, they quickly recognized him at the airport and asked to take a photo with the midfielder from Tuyen Quang.
If he plays in the match against Urawa Reds Diamond, Xuan Truong will be the only Vietnamese player to compete in the AFC Champions League 2019.
