From early morning on the 28th of Tet, recorded in the Tan An market area, Xuan Khanh market and key roads in the center of Can Tho City such as 30 Thang 4 street, Nguyen Van Linh street, Nguyen Van Cu street,... the flow of people flocking to shop was very crowded. Unlike the leisurely days before, today, everyone's faces are hurried and busy.

The items that "occupy the wave" the most are still flowers, fruits for Tet display and fresh food. Accordingly, fruits such as grapefruit, star apple, mango, tangerine,... are continuously added by small traders to the shelves to serve the needs of arranging five-fruit trays. Worshiping flowers that are popular are lilies (red lilies), marigolds, yellow chrysanthemums,... Pork, dried shrimp, sausage,... items are often overloaded with customers.

According to some small traders, although the economic situation is still volatile, it is encouraging that purchasing power in the two days of the 27th and 28th of Tet has increased by about 30-40% compared to normal days and is the "golden" shopping time of the Tet season.

Going to Xuan Khanh market (Ninh Kieu ward) at 10 am, Ms. Dang Thi Ly (Long Tuyen ward) shared: "Before that, I also bought some odds and ends, but waited until today I went to buy fresh food as well as a five-fruit tray. Luckily, I liked it so much, and I chose a few more beautiful bouquets of chrysanthemums to display for Tet to brighten up the house".

Although the number of customers increased sharply, according to observations, the prices of essential goods in Can Tho remained stable, and there was no situation of "bearing prices" too high.
Sharing about this, Ms. Hong (a small trader at Xuan Khanh Market) informed that it is predicted that purchasing power will increase from today until noon tomorrow, but everyone reminded each other to stabilize prices, not to let differences or unhealthy competition occur. Ms. Hong said that her family is very happy today because they continuously "close orders" for flower offerings for customers.

It is known that functional forces are also regularly on duty to regulate traffic and ensure security and order, helping people feel secure when shopping at markets and roads.
Until about 1 pm, despite the scorching sun, shopping activities still showed no signs of "cooling down". The general psychology of Can Tho people is to take advantage of buying goods to stockpile for tomorrow (December 29th of the lunar calendar) to conveniently perform rituals to welcome grandparents and welcome New Year's Eve.
