The domestic coffee market this morning continued to be under pressure to adjust, with a decrease of 500 - 800 VND/kg compared to yesterday. The current price ranges from 111,500 - 112,000 VND/kg.
In Dak Lak, Dak Nong and Gia Lai, coffee is trading at 112,000 VND/kg, down 500 VND, 800 VND and 800 VND respectively. Lam Dong is the lowest in the region, reaching 111,500 VND/kg, down 500 VND.
Since the beginning of the week, domestic coffee prices have lost about 4,000 - 4,500 VND/kg. Compared to the beginning of 2025, the price has decreased by more than 18,000 VND/kg. However, the current level is still about 6,000 VND/kg higher than the same period in 2024 (vacuum is about 105,500 - - 106,000 VND/kg).
In the world market, derivative coffee prices continued to plummet in the trading session on June 11 (US time), marking the second consecutive decline with a fairly strong range.
On the London Stock Exchange:
Robusta's July 2025 term decreased by 17 USD/ton, to 4,392 USD/ton.
The September 2025 term lost 26 USD/ton, to 4,291 USD/ton.
On the New York Stock Exchange:
Arabica futures for July 2025 fell 4.40 cents/lb to 350.65 cents/lb.
Other terms also fell above 4 cents/lb, trading around 338 - 348 cents/lb.
Compared to the beginning of the week, Robusta prices have lost about 130 USD/ton, Arabica has decreased by nearly 11 cents/lb. The sharp decline is said to reflect pressure from profit-taking activities and concerns that Brazil's supply may improve thanks to favorable weather.
Coffee prices today continue to be under great pressure as the international market has been weak for a long time, directly affecting domestic transactions. Many exporting enterprises have temporarily stopped buying, while growers have begun to sell after prices turned to decrease sharply since the beginning of the week.
Analysts said that in the short term, coffee prices will have a hard time recovering without supporting factors from Brazilian weather information or fluctuations from the USD. The market is in a psychologically sensitive area and is easily affected by speculative transactions.
