Domestic coffee prices
On August 20, coffee prices increased simultaneously, the average price nationwide reached 121,700 VND/kg.
In Dak Lak and Dak Nong (old), coffee bean prices increased to VND 4,600/kg, reaching VND 121,700 and VND 121,900/kg, respectively. Meanwhile, the average coffee price in provinces such as Gia Lai increased by VND 4,500/kg to VND 121,500/kg.
Lam Dong is the locality with the lowest coffee price, reaching 121,000 VND, an increase of 4,400 VND compared to yesterday's session.
Compared to the beginning of 2025, when recorded around 119,000 - 119,800 VND/kg, coffee prices are currently about 2,000 VND/kg higher.
World coffee prices
London Robusta coffee futures for September 2025 futures increased by 255 USD/ton (equivalent to an increase of 6.14%), remaining at 4,410 USD/ton.
Meanwhile, New York Arabica coffee futures for September 2025 increased by 12.60 USD/lb. The match was at 356.20 USD/lb.
According to Barchart, coffee prices continued to increase strongly for two weeks, with Arabica coffee prices reaching the highest level in 2.25 months and Robusta coffee prices reaching the highest level in 2 months. Weather concerns in Brazil are supporting coffee prices. On Monday, the Somar Meteorological Agency reported that Minas Gerais, Brazil's largest Arabica coffee growing region, had no rain in the week ended on August 16.
