Domestic coffee prices
Coffee prices in the Central Highlands provinces today increased sharply, fluctuating between 132,800 - 134,000 VND/kg, an increase of 1,800 - 2,000 VND/kg compared to yesterday.
This increase has put domestic coffee prices at their highest level in nearly a week, reflecting stronger demand from export traders and fluctuations in world prices.

World coffee prices
On the London Stock Exchange, Robusta coffee prices continued to increase in all terms. The contract for delivery in March 2025 ended the session at 5,712 USD/ton, up 71 USD compared to the previous day.

Meanwhile, Arabica prices in New York have differentiated. The May 2025 term decreased slightly by 0.65 cents, while the longer term such as December 2025 increased by 1.40 cents, reflecting a change in investors' trading strategies.

Market analysis
Speculators have reduced their net buying position for Arabica contracts to 43,123, reflecting caution against market fluctuations, according to data from the Commodity Exchange (CSFTC).
However, the supply and demand outlook is still supporting coffee prices at a high level. A report from the Brazilian National Supply Company (Conab) said that Brazil's Arabica output in the 2025/26 crop could decrease by 12.4%, down to 34.7 million bags, while Robusta output could increase by 17.2%, reaching 17.13 million bags. The total output of the two types of coffee in Brazil is forecast to reach 51.8 million bags, down 4.4% compared to the previous crop.
Arabica inventories monitored by ICE have also recovered slightly, but have remained low for many months, continuing to put pressure on supply.
Coffee price forecast
Coffee prices will remain high in the short term due to scarce supply and stable consumption demand. However, the market may see slight adjustments if exports from Vietnam and Brazil increase in the coming time.
