World coffee prices
Quickly reversing, the world market recorded a significant increase. On the London Stock Exchange, robusta coffee futures for September increased by 49 USD to 3,349 USD/ton. Other terms simultaneously increased by 40 - 45 USD/ton.
In the same direction, arabica coffee prices on the New York exchange continued to increase. September term increased by 3.5%, reaching 304.85 cents/lb. The remaining terms increased from 2.75% to 3% cents/lb.
Coffee prices in domestic and international markets have continued to maintain a strong upward trend in the past week. This is no longer a temporary development but reflects a series of fundamental and global factors, from unfavorable climate, escalating production costs, to trade policies and fluctuations in the supply chain.
