Domestic coffee prices
Today (July 23), the domestic coffee market increased sharply. In the Central Highlands provinces, common coffee prices range from 95,300 - 95,500 VND/kg. Of which, Dak Lak and Gia Lai are purchasing at VND95,500/kg, Lam Dong is lower at VND95,300/kg, increasing by VND3,200 - VND3,700/kg.
Compared to the lowest price recorded in the previous week (July 17) at about VND91,200/kg, domestic coffee prices have now recovered to about VND5,200 - 6,300/kg. The current price level has shortened the gap with the peak set at the end of April 2025, when domestic coffee once reached 99,000 - 99,500 VND/kg.
World coffee prices
In the same direction, the world market recorded a strong recovery. On the London Stock Exchange, robusta coffee futures for September increased by 102 USD to 3,289 USD/ton. Other terms also increased from 75 - 98 USD/ton.
Similarly, the price of arabica coffee on the New York exchange reversed to increase. September term increased by 4.4%, reaching 296.35 cents/lb. The remaining terms increased from 3.25 to 3.80 cents/lb. After two consecutive sessions of discounts by arabica, this item has returned to the high-priced race.
In the latest trading session, coffee prices have increased sharply. The main reason comes from concerns about the phenomenon of frost possibly destroying key coffee growing areas in the world such as Brazil, the world's largest coffee producing country.
Note: Domestic coffee prices are for reference only, depending on the quality of goods and the purchase and sale agreement of each locality.
