Domestic coffee prices
Today (July 24), the domestic coffee market continues to recover. In the Central Highlands provinces, common coffee prices range from 95,700 - 96,000 VND/kg. Of which, Dak Lak and Gia Lai are purchasing at 96,000 VND/kg, an increase of 500 VND/kg. Lam Dong purchased at a lower price when increasing by 400 VND/kg, currently listed at 95,700 VND/kg.
Compared to the lowest price recorded in the previous week (July 17) at about VND91,200/kg, domestic coffee prices have now recovered to about VND5,700 - 6,800/kg. The current price level has shortened the gap with the peak set at the end of April 2025, when domestic coffee once reached 99,000 - 99,500 VND/kg.
World coffee prices
In the opposite direction, the world market recorded alternating increases and decreases. On the London Stock Exchange, robusta coffee futures for September increased by 11 USD to 3,300 USD/ton. Other terms turned around and decreased slightly by 2-3 USD/ton.
Meanwhile, arabica coffee prices on the New York exchange continued to increase. September term increased by 5%, reaching 301.35 cents/lb. The remaining terms increased from 4.70 to 5.10 cents/lb.
Coffee prices in the domestic and international markets continue to maintain a strong increase. This is the sixth consecutive week that the coffee market has gone up, setting many new records in prices. The reason is not only due to the scarcity of supply but also due to the impact of extreme weather in some major supply markets, high input costs and new trade policies of major consumer countries.
Note: Domestic coffee prices are for reference only, depending on the quality of goods and the purchase and sale agreement of each locality.
