World coffee prices
In the world market, Robusta prices in London increased after a day of stagnation. The September 2025 contract term increased from 4,201 USD/ton (August 18) to 4,886 USD/ton on August 27, an increase of 685 USD. Long terms also increased by 38 - 40 USD/ton in today's trading session, equivalent to 0.41% - 0.88%.
In the opposite direction, Arabica on the New York exchange fell sharply. The September 2025 contract was traded at 384.05 cents/lb, down 5.90 cents. Other terms also decreased in price from 4.95 - 5.55 cents/lb, equivalent to 1.42% - 1.51%.
Coffee prices in today's trading session have mixed movements. The pressure from the harvest in Brazil has caused Arabica prices to decrease after Cooxupe cooperative - the largest coffee cooperative announced yesterday that the harvest had completed 91.3%. 100% of Robusta coffee and 98% of Arabica coffee have been harvested (as of August 20).
World coffee prices also received support from reduced inventories. Robusta coffee inventories on ICE have fallen to a 1-month low. At the same time, ICE-supervised Arabica coffee inventories also fell to their lowest level in more than a year.
