Coffee price assessment and forecast
Recent rains in Brazil are expected to improve crop conditions and increase coffee output, which is a negative factor for prices.
A bumper Robusta crop in Vietnam, which causes abundant supply, is also a factor in price reduction. Vietnam's 2025/26 coffee output is expected to increase by 6% over the same period last year, reaching 1.76 million tons (equivalent to 29.4 million bags), the highest level in 4 years.
According to the General Statistics Office of Vietnam, coffee exports in the first 8 months of 2025 increased by 7.8% over the same period last year, reaching 1.141 million tons. Vietnam is the world's largest producer of Robusta coffee.
It is forecasted that next week, heavy rains will continue to occur in the Central Highlands due to the impact of storm Bualoi. Heavy rain caused flooding in some coffee and rice fields, making it impossible for farmers to go to the fields to take care of them.
