World pepper prices: Increase and decrease alternately
In the world market, pepper prices are mostly stable. In particular, the Indonesian exchange - one of the most vibrant markets, turned to increase. Currently, these two items are traded between 7,253 - 10,119 USD/ton (equivalent to 191,378 VND/kg - 267,000 VND/kg), up 0.44% and 0.43%, respectively.
On the other hand, the Brazilian market moved sideways, staying at 6,200 USD/ton (about 163,594 VND/kg). In the same direction, black and white pepper were stable, trading at 12,500 USD/ton and 9,500 USD/ton, respectively.
In the pepper export market of Vietnam, the price of black pepper of 500 g/l and 550 g/l is stable, anchored at 6,600 - 6,800 USD/ton. ASTA white pepper prices remain high, currently standing at 9,250 USD/ton (equivalent to 244,071 VND/kg).

Assessment and forecast
The domestic pepper market is gradually recovering after a series of stagnation and decline. However, the price outlook is still dependent on the context of the world economy, trade policies of major economies and Vietnam's import demand in the fourth quarter of 2025.
According to the latest report of the Import-Export Department (Ministry of Industry and Trade), many Vietnamese enterprises are planning to adjust the amount of crude pepper imports from countries, including Brazil, to move to the US.
The reason is that the tariff rate of up to 40% on transit goods causes export costs to increase sharply, affecting the profits of enterprises.
