Domestic pepper prices: Reversal after a day of stagnation
As of 11:30 today (September 11), the domestic pepper market has decreased, an average decrease of 800 VND/kg. Currently, the purchase price of pepper is recorded at 139,000 - 141,000 VND/kg.
Pepper prices in Gia Lai and Dong Nai provinces today both decreased by VND 1,000/kg, anchored at VND 139,000/kg.
After a day of stagnation, Ho Chi Minh City listed the price at 139,000 VND/kg, down an additional 1,000 VND/kg. Notably, Dak Lak is still the province with the largest pepper purchasing price in the country at 141,000 VND/kg.
Pepper prices in Lam Dong province alone remained at VND 140,000/kg.
World pepper prices: Indonesia increases
In the world market, pepper prices remain unchanged in all regions. The Indonesian exchange - one of the most vibrant markets - suddenly increased. Currently, these two items are traded between 7,539 - 10,184 USD/ton (equivalent to 198,201 VND/kg - 267,738 VND/kg).
The Brazilian exchange rate is flat, this region is currently at 6,225 USD/ton (about 163,656 VND/kg). Meanwhile, Malaysia's black and white pepper remained at 11,750 USD/ton and 8,900 USD/ton.
In Vietnam, the export price of black pepper of 500 g/l and 550 g/l is stable, currently anchored at 6,440 - 6,570 USD/ton. ASTA white pepper prices reached 9,150 USD/ton (equivalent to 240,554 VND/kg).
