Assessments and forecasts
Impact from the Middle East conflicts on the prices of some key agricultural products of Vietnam, including pepper. Before the Middle East conflict, pepper prices in the Central Highlands and Southeast were at nearly 150,000 VND/kg. After geopolitical tensions, pepper prices tend to alternate between increases and decreases.
Many businesses are stockpiling or temporarily stopping pepper purchases to update the level of impact on the world pepper market. The sharp increase in energy prices is also a major reason affecting the fluctuations in pepper prices in recent days.
