Domestic pepper prices: Decrease in price at the beginning of the new week
As of 11:30 today (December 15), domestic pepper prices continued to decrease, averaging VND 148,400/kg. Currently, key areas are trading in the range of 147,500 - 149,500 VND/kg.
The provinces and cities recorded a decrease of 500-1,000 VND/kg, the price list on the market for specific areas is as follows:
Dak Lak and Dong Nai both decreased by VND 500/kg, listed at VND 148,000 - 149,500/kg.
Similarly, Ho Chi Minh City and Lam Dong recorded a stronger price drop of up to VND 1,000/kg, respectively anchored at VND 148,000/kg and VND 149,000/kg.
Gia Lai is currently still the area with the lowest purchasing price, offering the market at 147,500 VND/kg.
World pepper prices: Indonesia maintains price increase momentum
In the world market, pepper prices continue to fluctuate in some regions. The Indonesian exchange - one of the most vibrant markets with steady growth momentum. Currently, these two items are traded between 6,996 - 9,645 USD/ton (equivalent to 184,730 VND/kg - 254,677 VND/kg), maintaining the same increase of 0.1% and 0.09%.
Meanwhile, the Brazilian market remained unchanged at 6,075 USD/ton (about 160,411 VND/kg). In the same direction, black and white pepper traded at 12,000 USD/ton and 9,000 USD/ton.
Notably, in the Vietnamese pepper export market, the price of 500 g/l and 550 g/l black pepper remains in the price range of 6,500 - 6,700 USD/ton. ASTA white pepper prices are currently at 9,250 USD/ton (equivalent to 244,247 VND/kg).

Assessment and forecast
The Import-Export Department (Ministry of Industry and Trade) cited data from the Customs Department as saying that Vietnam exported 18,013 tons of pepper in November 2025, worth 118.5 million USD, down 4.1% in volume and 5.9% in value compared to the previous month, but compared to November 2024, it increased by 13.9% in volume and 11.5% in value.
In the first 11 months of 2025, Vietnam's pepper exports reached 223,242 tons, worth 1.51 billion USD, down 5% in volume but up 24.1% in value over the same period in 2024.
The average price of pepper exported in November was 6,580 USD/ton, down 1.8% compared to October and down 1.9% compared to the same period last year. In the first 11 months of 2025, the average export price of pepper reached 6,764 USD/ton, up 30.6% over the same period in 2024.
