Domestic pepper prices: Unexpected increase
As of 11:30 today (8.15), the domestic pepper market ended a streak of stagnant days in all regions, averaging 141,800 VND/kg. Currently, the price ranges from 141,000 - 143,000 VND/kg.
simultaneously listed at 141,000 VND/kg are Gia Lai, Dong Nai provinces and Ho Chi Minh City, an increase of 1,000 VND/kg.
Continuing to be the two provinces with the highest pepper purchasing prices in the country, Dak Lak and Lam Dong both increased the price by VND 1,000/kg, announcing the selling price to the market at VND 143,000/kg.
World pepper prices: Only fluctuate in Indonesia
In the world market, pepper prices are mostly stable in many regions. In particular, the Indonesian exchange - one of the most vibrant markets continued to increase by 0.79%. Currently, these two items are traded between 7,232 - 10,109 USD/ton (equivalent to 191,215 VND/kg - 267,282 VND/kg).
On the other hand, the Brazilian market remained unchanged, trading at 5,850 USD/ton (about 154,674 VND/kg). Malaysia's black and white specks reached 12,500 USD/ton and 9,250 USD/ton.
In the pepper export market of Vietnam, the price of black pepper of 500 g/l and 550 g/l remains unchanged, anchored at 6,240 - 6,370 USD/ton. ASTA white pepper prices remained at 8,950 USD/ton (equivalent to 236,638 VND/kg).
