Domestic pepper prices: Stable in the first session of the week
As of 11:30 today (18.), the domestic pepper market remained unchanged compared to the previous session, at an average of 141,600 VND/kg. Currently, the price still fluctuates between 140,000 - 143,000 VND/kg.
Purchasing pepper at the lowest price is Dong Nai, reaching 140,000 VND/kg.
At the same time, listed at 141,000 VND/kg are Gia Lai province and Ho Chi Minh City.
Dak Lak and Lam Dong provinces continue to be the two provinces with the highest pepper purchasing prices in the country, launched on the market at 143,000 VND/kg.
According to preliminary statistics from the Vietnam Pepper and Spices Association (VPSA), from January to July 2025, enterprises imported 31,472 tons of pepper, worth about 195.4 million USD.
Compared to the figure of 19,857 tons and the value of 80.3 million USD in the same period in 2024, the amount of imported pepper in the first 7 months of this year increased sharply by 58.5%, the value also skyrocketed to 143.4%.
World pepper prices: Indonesia decreases simultaneously
In the world market, pepper prices are mostly stable in many regions. In particular, the Indonesian exchange - one of the most vibrant markets - reversed and decreased by 0.33%. Currently, these two items are traded between 7,208 - 10,076 USD/ton (equivalent to 190,652 VND/kg - 266,511 VND/kg).
On the other hand, the Brazilian market remained unchanged, trading at 5,850 USD/ton (about 154,733 VND/kg). Malaysia's black and white stocks reached 12,700 USD/ton and 9,400 USD/ton.
In the pepper export market of Vietnam, the price of black pepper of 500 g/l and 550 g/l remains the same, anchored at 6,240 - 6,370 USD/ton. ASTA white pepper prices remained at 8,950 USD/ton (equivalent to 236,728 VND/kg).
