Domestic pepper prices: All increased
As of 1:30 p.m. today (September 1), the domestic pepper market continued to increase by VND 1,000/kg, an average of VND 152,400/kg. Currently, the price ranges from 152,000 - 153,000 VND/kg.
All increased prices by VND 1,000/kg, the areas are currently listed at the following prices:
Gia Lai, Dong Nai and Ho Chi Minh City purchase pepper at 152,000 VND/kg.
Dak Lak and Lam Dong are still the areas with the highest pepper prices in the country, currently at 153,000 VND/kg.
World pepper prices: Stability in regions
In the world market, pepper prices did not change much in the first session of the week. The Indonesian exchange - one of the most vibrant markets - maintained a decrease of 0.64% and 0.65%. Currently, these two items are traded between 7,216 - 10,028 USD/ton (equivalent to 191,239 VND/kg - 265,763 VND/kg).
The Brazilian market continued to be unstable, trading at 6,400 USD/ton (about 169,613 VND/kg). In the same direction, Malaysia's black and white pepper prices remained in the high price range, reaching 12,900 USD/ton and 9,700 USD/ton.
In the pepper export market of Vietnam, the price of black pepper of 500 g/l and 550 g/l remains unchanged, anchored at 6,240 - 6,370 USD/ton. ASTA white pepper prices tend to be flat, standing at 9,150 USD/ton (equivalent to 242,494 VND/kg).
