Domestic pepper prices: Low afternoon prices
As of 11:30 today (8.30), the domestic pepper market turned down 900 VND/kg, an average of 151,400 VND/kg. Currently, the price ranges from 151,000 - 152,000 VND/kg.
"Turn around" to reduce 500 VND/kg, Gia Lai province is still the area to buy pepper at 151,000 VND/kg.
The two provinces of Dong Nai and Ho Chi Minh City both decreased by VND 1,000/kg compared to the previous session, bringing the price to VND 151,000/kg.
Meeting the 152,000 VND/kg mark, Dak Lak and Lam Dong provinces both decreased by 1,000 VND/kg. However, compared to the price announced on July 14, 2025, this region has increased by 14,400 VND/kg.
World pepper prices: Developments in the same direction
In the world market, pepper prices have changed after a flat session. The Indonesian exchange - one of the most vibrant markets - decreased by 0.64% and 0.65%, respectively. Currently, these two items are traded between 7,216 - 10,028 USD/ton (equivalent to 191,239 VND/kg - 265,763 VND/kg).
The Brazilian market continued to be unstable, trading at 6,400 USD/ton (about 169,613 VND/kg). In the same direction, Malaysia's black and white pepper prices remained in the high price range, reaching 12,900 USD/ton and 9,700 USD/ton.
In the pepper export market of Vietnam, the price of black pepper of 500 g/l and 550 g/l remains unchanged, anchored at 6,240 - 6,370 USD/ton. ASTA white pepper prices tended to remain flat after unexpectedly increasing by 2.19%, standing at 9,150 USD/ton (equivalent to 242,494 VND/kg).
