Assessments and forecasts
The domestic and international pepper markets are recording notable developments in supply and demand structure and export value. While domestic prices have maintained a balanced state around 136,000 - 139,000 VND/kg for many days, Vietnam's export activities have shown a breakthrough in value thanks to a strategy focused on deep processed product lines.
According to purchasing businesses, the domestic pepper supply is no longer abundant because most of the output has been consumed since the beginning of the season.
However, because purchasing power in the market has not shown signs of a sudden increase, prices mainly fluctuate within a narrow range. In case the export market does not see new drivers, this stable trend will continue in the short term.
