Domestic pepper prices
Today (August 24), domestic pepper prices are still trading in the range of 136,000 - 138,50 VND/kg, slightly down 500 VND/kg.
At the end of last week, Gia Lai, Dong Nai and Ho Chi Minh City all anchored at the threshold of 136,000 VND/kg, unchanged compared to the closing session of the previous week.
Following the same developments, Dak Lak maintained a price of 138,000 VND/kg.

World pepper price
In the world market, pepper prices remained unchanged in most countries. Indonesia's black and white peppers alone adjusted upwards, trading in the range of 6,873 - 9, 410 USD/ton (equivalent to 180,967 VND/kg - 247,766 VND/kg), increasing by 22 USD/ton and 30 USD/ton respectively.
Meanwhile, the price of Brazilian black pepper sold to the market is 5,900 USD/ton (about 155. 347 VND/kg). However, black and white Malaysian pepper still maintain the same price range, trading at high prices, respectively 12,200 USD/ton and 9,300 USD/ton.
Notably, in Vietnam's pepper export market, black pepper prices of 500 g/l and 550 g/l are traded at 5,990 - 6,050 USD/ton. ASTA white pepper is offered for sale at 8,400 USD/ton (equivalent to 221,172 VND/kg).
Assessments and forecasts
The Vietnam Pepper and Spice Plant Association (VPSA) said that, according to ITC, in June 2026, Germany imported 2,401 tons of pepper, with a turnover of 19.3 million USD, an increase of 17.3% in volume and 17.7% in value compared to May 2026 but a decrease of 7.5% in volume compared to the same period in June 2025.
Vietnam continued to be the largest supplier of pepper to Germany in June with 1,779 tons, a sharp increase of 60.3% compared to May and accounting for 74.1% of the total German pepper imported in the month.
In contrast to the Vietnamese market, imports from Brazil decreased sharply to 260 tons, down 51.3% compared to May, accounting for 10.8% of total imports.
