Domestic pepper prices: Red trading floor
As of 11:30 today (September 22), the domestic pepper market suddenly dropped in price, an average decrease of 1,200 VND/kg. Currently, pepper purchasing prices range from 136,500 - 138,500 VND/kg.
List the price at 136,500 VND/kg for Gia Lai province, down 500 VND/kg.
Pepper prices in Dong Nai and Ho Chi Minh City both decreased by VND 1,000/kg, anchored at VND 137,000/kg.
Meanwhile, Dak Lak and Lam Dong province have both decreased sharply by 1,500 - 2,000 VND/kg, currently standing at 138,000 - 138,500 VND/kg. These are the 2 provinces listing the highest domestic pepper prices in the country.
World pepper prices: Indonesia continues to fluctuate
In the world market, pepper prices continued to reverse and decrease in some regions. The Indonesian exchange - one of the most vibrant markets is no exception. Currently, these two items are traded between 7,134 - 9,972 USD/ton (equivalent to 187,910 VND/kg - 262,663 VND/kg), "turning around" decreased by 0.86 - 1.15%.
Meanwhile, the Brazilian exchange is stable, this region is currently at 5,800 USD/ton (about 152,772 VND/kg). Meanwhile, Malaysia's black and white pepper remained at 11,750 USD/ton and 8,900 USD/ton.
In Vietnam, the export price of black pepper of 500 g/l and 550 g/l is stable, currently anchored at 6,440 - 6,570 USD/ton. ASTA white pepper prices reached 9,150 USD/ton (equivalent to 241,011 VND/kg).
