Domestic pepper prices: Maintain price range
As of 11:30 AM today (April 28), domestic pepper prices remained unchanged, averaging 140,200 VND/kg. Currently, key areas are trading in the range of 138,000 - 142,000 VND/kg.
Domestic pepper prices continue to stand still for 5 consecutive days. Currently, the listed prices in areas are as follows:
Continuing the sideways trend, Gia Lai province traded at the mark of 138,000 VND/kg.
Dong Nai and Ho Chi Minh City are both anchored at the threshold of 140,000 VND/kg.
Dak Lak and Lam Dong respectively offered for sale at purchase prices of 141,000 VND/kg and 142,000 VND/kg.
World pepper prices: Unchanged
In the world market, pepper prices are mostly stable in countries. The two items of black and white pepper in Indonesia remain unchanged, trading in the range of 7,007 - 9,231 USD/ton (equivalent to 184,761 VND/kg - 243,404 VND/kg).
The Brazilian market is listed at the 6,000 USD/ton mark (about 158,208 VND/kg). In the same direction, black and white peppers remain unchanged, trading at the 12,200 USD/ton and 9,300 USD/ton marks.
In Vietnam's pepper export market, the price of black pepper of 500 g/l and 550 g/l remains at 6,100 - 6,200 USD/ton. In the same direction, ASTA white pepper is offered for sale at 9,000 USD/ton (equivalent to 237,312 VND/kg).

Assessments and forecasts
Although domestic prices have not recorded a new adjustment step, the export picture is showing extremely positive signs with large purchasing power from the international market, especially the breakthrough from the North American region.
According to the Import-Export Department, the trade pace in March 2026 was extremely vibrant when the export volume reached more than 30,500 tons, bringing in nearly 200 million USD in turnover. Compared to February, export volume has grown strongly by 119%.
Accumulated to the end of the first quarter of 2026, Vietnam's pepper industry has brought to the world market more than 61 thousand tons of goods, reaching a value of 430.8 million USD, marking a significant recovery in trading scale compared to the same period last year.
