Assessments and forecasts
After a period of increase and decrease at the beginning of the week, pepper prices are entering a stable phase again. Sideways movement shows that selling pressure has cooled down, while demand is not strong enough to pull prices back up.
In the short term, pepper prices may continue to fluctuate in the range of 138,000 - 142,000 VND/kg, waiting for clearer signals from the market.
Currently, global supply is tending to shrink after the peak harvest period. In Vietnam, production this year is forecast to decrease by 15-20%, reaching only about 170,000 - 180,000 tons due to the impact of weather and shrinking cultivated area.
