Assessment and forecast
According to experts, the global pepper market is facing a shortage of supply due to unfavorable weather in major producing countries such as Brazil and Indonesia. The global pepper output in 2023 is forecast to reach only about 520,000 tons, while consumption demand will reach 530,000 tons, leading to a shortage of supply and reserves.
There are still some important factors that can strongly affect the pepper market in the coming time. Typically, there is a change in demand from the Chinese market and the trend of farmers holding more goods.
