Assessments and forecasts
Compared to the same period 2 months ago, the average domestic pepper price is only about 138,300 VND/kg, 100 VND/kg lower. Meanwhile, the pepper price on May 8 recorded an average level of 142,500 VND/kg, 4,100 VND/kg higher. This shows that the average domestic pepper price continuously reverses direction, fluctuating around the threshold of 140,000 VND/kg.
With the development of narrowed supply, improved export demand and positive market sentiment, domestic pepper prices are forecast to continue to remain stable in the range of 137,000 - 140,000 VND/kg in the short term. If purchasing power continues to increase and export demand grows steadily, pepper prices may set a new higher price level in the second quarter of 2026.
