World gold prices recorded a nearly 3-month peak due to the rapid weakening of the USD in the context of investors betting on changes in US policy.
As of early morning of June 5 (Vietnam time), spot gold prices stood at 1,322 USD/ounce.
The price of gold delivered in June 2019 on the New York Comex was at 1,324 USD/ounce. Gold prices today are 1.5% higher (19.5 USD/ounce) than in early 2018.
According to experts, as the market welcomes a wave of economic regions around the world, it will decline. From Germany, Korea, Japan, now to the common currency area of Europe combined with interest rates of US Treasury bonds for the 10th term, which have decreased to the bottom of nearly 2 years, causing investors to continue to increase their investment in gold reserves.
However, experts also recommend that investors should be cautious about buying when prices increase "hotly". In yesterday's session, gold bars increased to 37.2 million VND/tael at times, closing the session down to 37 million VND, losing 200,000 VND in just 1 session.
The trend may increase, but it may also decrease, so it is necessary to carefully observe the factors that determine prices to buy in or sell reasonably. Tomorrow, the EC Bank will meet to make interest rate decisions that will support gold's increase, as economic indicators in the region are not optimistic.
