Accordingly, on March 7, 2026, the number of customers buying goods at gas stations still increased sharply. Daily retail sales (from March 4, 2026 to March 7, 2026) at gas stations directly under Petrolimex Hanoi Co., Ltd. increased by 30%, Military Petroleum Corporation increased by 10%, Hanoi Petroleum Joint Stock Company increased by 29% compared to the average daily output in February 2026.
Some retail gasoline and oil businesses have documents sent to the Department of Industry and Trade requesting to adjust sales hours (reduce the number of sales hours) due to not ensuring sufficient supply of continuous goods and human resources to serve business operations at stores.
According to the Hanoi Department of Industry and Trade, gas stations are short of goods, have to close or sell restricted goods, mainly belonging to the system of gasoline distribution traders (intermediary units) because the supply depends on key traders (gasoline importing units).
Stores belonging to the system of key traders are still guaranteed goods sources to maintain business operations, in which key traders prioritize goods sources for directly affiliated gas stations, followed by agents and traders who receive rights according to the purchase progress of the previous months. In case supply in the system is ensured, the key traders will share the supply with gasoline distribution traders.
Through inspection and supervision by the Hanoi Market Management Sub-Department on March 7, 2026, 17 stores were recorded temporarily suspending sales or running out of goods for legitimate reasons (an increase of 3 stores compared to March 6, 2026), specifically as follows:
(1) Minh Quang gasoline and oil store under Hoang Kien Trading and Construction Co., Ltd., address: Moc village, Ba Vi commune, Hanoi: diesel oil is out of stock because traders supply goods without oil sources to supply.
(2) Indel Ngoc Hoi gas station belonging to INDEL Investment and Development Joint Stock Company, address at Km10 National Highway 1A, Ngoc Hoi street, Yen So ward, Hanoi city: out of RON 95 gasoline, still selling normal D.O gasoline.
(3) Bao Anh gasoline and oil store under Bao Anh Trading and Transport Co., Ltd., address: No. 236 Luong The Vinh, Dai Mo ward, Hanoi city: all gasoline items are sold out, still selling normal oil items.

According to the Hanoi Department of Industry and Trade, on March 7, 2026, gas stations in the localities through the inspection process did not detect violations, so no handling was carried out.
The Department of Industry and Trade requests the Ministry of Industry and Trade to inspect the compliance with regulations on gasoline and oil business (especially regulations on gasoline and oil reserves) for key traders and gasoline and oil distributors who regularly have many gasoline and oil stores belonging to the distribution system that have to close or stop selling goods due to not supplying enough goods to retail gasoline and oil stores, causing market instability.
