According to the report of the Steering Committee 389 of Hanoi City (BCD), in October 2025, the functional forces in the BCD inspected and arrested 3,378 cases related to smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods.
Handling 3,257 violations, of which 3,248 were administratively handled, 09 cases were prosecuted against 19 defendants.
Of which, the Hanoi Market Management Department has presided over and coordinated with the police force to inspect 723 cases, handle 668 cases and transfer 21 cases to the investigation agency.
The total amount of administrative fines, fees forcing the return of illegal profits, other fines and paid interest is VND 8.430 billion. The amount of goods sold for confiscation is VND 4.249 billion, the value of goods confiscated, forced to be destroyed and remedied is VND 6.840 billion.
Hanoi City Police inspected 463 cases, handled 471 cases, of which 462 cases were administratively handled and prosecuted 9 cases with 19 subjects. Administrative fines reached VND4.205 billion, the value of the violated goods was VND8.890 billion.
The Customs Branch of Region I detected and handled 126 cases of customs law violations, with a total administrative fine of VND 7.543 billion and the value of violated goods being VND 252.152 billion.
The City Tax Department inspected and handled 1,969 violations, with administrative fines of VND 83.242 billion. At the same time, VND 292.967 billion in tax revenue and recovery will be collected.
The Hanoi Department of Health inspected and fined 10 violations with a total administrative fine of VND300 million. The Department of Agriculture and Environment inspected 87 cases and handled 13 cases with a total administrative fine of 143 million VND.
Other members of the Hanoi Steering Committee 389 continue to implement the directives of the Government, the Prime Minister, the National Steering Committee 389, ministries, branches, the City People's Committee and the City Steering Committee 389.
At the same time, proactively coordinate with relevant authorities in the fight against smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods according to assigned functions, tasks and fields.
