After nearly 2 months of operation, the Agricultural Product Traceability System has updated data of more than 158,000 products, 200 businesses and nearly 3,000 households and cooperatives.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Environment has just sent a report to the Prime Minister on the results of building the Agricultural, Forestry and Aquatic Product Traceability System.

The agricultural origin traceability system was put into use by the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment from July 1, 2026. To date, 9 enterprises providing origin traceability technology solutions have connected with the Ministry's system.

In addition, 4 agricultural production and trading enterprises have connected the system developed by the enterprise itself with the Ministry's origin traceability system.

5 provinces and cities including Hanoi, Thai Nguyen, Hung Yen, Quang Ninh and Dak Lak reported that they have ensured the necessary conditions to deploy traceability.

Since July 1, a total of 48,754 products belonging to 9 product lines of 19 enterprises have been traced and data updated to the system.

Accumulated to date, the system has received data of 158,234 products, belonging to 18,524 product lines, from 200 businesses and 2,948 households and cooperatives in 24/34 provinces and cities.

In the coming time, the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment will continue to complete the reception and management of the System, complete the operation process, backup, monitoring and incident handling. At the same time, focus on standardizing data, unifying sets of indicators, data sources and calculation methods; and at the same time complete data standards, connection interfaces, testing and information control processes.

Connection with localities will also be accelerated, prioritizing places that already have data, systems and key products. The implementation process is based on the principle of inheriting existing platforms, data is created once but can be exploited and used many times, avoiding duplicate investment.

A key task is to complete the traceability of durian origin in a chain, interlinking data on planting area codes, packaging facilities, testing, quarantine and each export shipment. On that basis, the system will be expanded to other key agricultural products.
