Despite recorded growth, many Vietnamese seafood and shrimp exporting enterprises are facing problems with raw material supply, transportation fees, and high production costs while consumption demand in major markets such as the US and EU is stagnant in the context of inflation and economic decline.
The Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers (VASEP) assessed that due to seafood production, the shrimp industry is facing difficulties due to high input costs and unfavorable weather, while demand from major markets stagnates as inventories increase. The pressure on exchange rates may soon ease
The exchange rate on the interbank market closed the week (September 19-23) at VND 23,705/USD, equivalent to an increase of 0.23% compared to the previous weekend and 3.86% compared to the end of 2021. However, in 2022, the pressure on exchange rates will still be there, but the situation may ease by the end of the year thanks to foreign currency supply.

Gasoline prices are expected to decrease sharply, oil prices will decrease slightly in the next period?
According to the forecast of gasoline distributors, in the adjustment period up to October 3), gasoline prices are expected to decrease by VND 1,000-1,200 per liter; DO oil prices will decrease by about VND 100/liter.
According to the forecast of petroleum distribution enterprises, the current base price on October 3 for RON 95 gasoline is only 1,100 - 1,120 VND/liter; E5 gasoline is 900 - 920 VND per liter; DO positive oil is 140 - 160 VND per liter. If the operator does not set aside a Stabilization Fund, gasoline prices will decrease accordingly.
Currently, domestic gasoline prices are applied according to the adjusted price from 15:00 on September 21.
