Gold price remains high, people anxiously take profits
According to Lao Dong, on March 30, some gold shops in District 3, District 5, Binh Thanh District... were bustling with customers waiting for gold transactions. On weekends, Saigon Jewelry Companies SJC closed, so people focused on other major brands.
Present at Mi Hong store (Binh Thanh district) to buy 1 tael of plain gold ring, Ms. Tran Minh Tam (living in Go Vap district) said: "At this time, the price of gold is quite high, but I do not sell but buy more and listen to the situation because it may increase in the near future".

Meanwhile, selling a quantity of gold, Mr. Nguyen Van Hung (living in District 12) shared that he had made a profit after nearly 4 years.
10 days ago, I took a tael of gold to sell because the price increased to nearly 101 million VND/tael. Now I continue to sell because I bought this amount of gold in 2022, at this time I sold it and I had the profit I wanted" - Mr. Hung said. See more...

Increased label prices, gardeners urgently harvest to avoid the sun
According to records in Can Tho and some provinces in the Mekong Delta, Ido longan is being sold by farmers to traders and salt production facilities for fruit at 20,000 - 23,000 VND/kg. For the selected type 1 label, the price ranges from 25,000 - 26,000 VND/kg. This price is 5,000 - 6,000 VND/kg higher than about a month ago.
The reason for the increase in Ido label prices given by gardeners is that the supply is not abundant while traders and fruit warehouses are stepping up purchases. The increase in prices makes many gardeners enthusiastic about the harvest.

Mr. Nguyen Van Nghia (Phong Dien district, Can Tho city) said that last year, Ido labels only fluctuated from 17,000 - 18,000 VND/kg. Currently, this price has increased to 20,000 - 23,000 VND/kg. With this price, gardeners still make quite a profit despite increased costs of agricultural supplies and labor rental. See more...
