On August 31, it was noted that on some streets with many gold shops such as Le Thanh Ton, Nhieu Tam, An Duong Vuong... the number of visitors coming and going was quite bustling. However, instead of buying gold as easily as before, many people said that they have to go to many places to be able to trade.
A representative of a gold shop on An Duong Vuong Street said: "The source of SJC gold bars is currently almost only at SJC Company, while private enterprises are out of stock or only sell in very limited quantity. We can only sell gold rings, each customer can have a maximum of one tael to ensure even distribution to many people".
Meanwhile, people are still rushing to buy because they are worried that prices will continue to increase. More than VND 5,687.1 billion in National Day gifts have been paid
According to information from the State Treasury, by 1:30 p.m. on August 31, 2025, the whole country had spent more than VND 5,687.1 billion on giving gifts to people on the occasion of National Day September 2, reaching 53.15% of the estimate of more than VND 10,700.2 billion. On August 31, information from Cao Bang Provincial Tax Department said that by the end of July, the whole province currently has 230 enterprises owing over 135.5 billion VND in extended taxes and other revenues to the State budget.
