Coming from midnight is still not the first person
Lao Dong reporter's record at a gold, silver and gemstone business store on Cau Giay street (Hanoi), many customers have been present since the evening of February 25.
Mr. Nguyen Tien Dung (Van Mieu - Hanoi) said that he came from about 11:30 pm on February 25 with the intention of "keeping a spot" to buy gold earlier than others. But when he arrived, there were already many people queuing in front, making finding a convenient place not as easy as imagined.
The queuing atmosphere is very unusual: the elderly and young people all bring umbrellas, small chairs, raincoats and personal belongings, forming makeshift "stopovers" on the sidewalk, despite the cold weather and drizzle lasting overnight.
No more serial numbers - only "actual queuing
Unlike recently, when people came early and could self-record books and use serial numbers to mark their locations, on the night before the God of Wealth, this form was no longer maintained at Phu Quy - Cau Giay point.
A person queuing said: "Many people queuing from late at night makes it impossible to record order spontaneously. A few days ago, it was still possible to record books, whoever came first would write the number first. But today is the God of Wealth Day, the store may not accept recording books like that anymore, so everyone just comes and stands in line.

The lack of unity in the way of classifying customers partly reflects the "heat" of the demand for buying gold this time.
Some gold trading units in Hanoi said that they have planned to open earlier than usual, increase personnel and prepare regulation plans from dawn. However, actual records show that the number of customers flocking in too early, even from the night before, has disrupted many operating scenarios.

At some points of sale, employees have not started working hours, but the area in front of the door is already crowded with people waiting, forcing customers to line up directly in the rain.
Many people accept wearing umbrellas and raincoats through the night to maintain their positions with the hope of completing transactions in the morning of the God of Wealth. The scene of long lines of people continuing in humid and cold weather continues to be repeated, showing the persistent attraction of the habit of buying gold for good luck at the beginning of the year.
A person participating in queuing shared: "I heard they will open from 6 am on February 26 to sell gold, so I came here to queue. I don't buy much but still go with friends because I feel happy".

This mentality is also widely recorded around other "golden streets" in Hanoi such as Tran Nhan Tong street, where dozens of people brave the rain to queue to take advantage of buying gold to pray for fortune. Many people even bring chairs and wear raincoats to stand in the cold to maintain their positions.
Gold prices rise sharply, how to buy on the God of Wealth Day
Sharing with Lao Dong reporters, economic expert Nguyen Tri Hieu has repeatedly warned people to be cautious when buying gold on the God of Wealth Day. According to him, buying gold on this day largely stems from psychological factors, while prices are often pushed up due to increased demand.
Experts believe that gold is suitable for long-term holding, people should not consider the God of Wealth Day as a mandatory investment time.
Mr. Hieu also noted the risks from the buying-selling price difference and the possibility of fluctuations after peak days. Buying large quantities of gold at high prices can put buyers at risk of losses if the market adjusts.
Reality in recent years shows that the trend of buying gold on the occasion of the God of Wealth is still maintained, but people's psychology has become somewhat cautious as gold prices continuously rise. Many people choose to buy small quantities for good luck instead of large-scale hoarding.
In the context of gold prices being at peak levels, people need to clearly define their goals when spending money. Gold is a long-term asset, so buying and selling decisions need to be based on financial capacity and appropriate holding strategies, avoiding following the psychology of the crowd.
