Market Management Team No. 9 - Hanoi Market Management Department has just inspected and seized 3,500kg of beef bones of unknown origin in Vinh Thanh commune.
Accordingly, on September 10, Market Management Team No. 9 coordinated with Vinh Thanh Commune Police to inspect a business establishment in Hamlet 3, Co Dien Village, Vinh Thanh Commune, owned by Ms. N.T.D.
Through inspection, the authorities determined that Ms. N.T.D. organized a business in the form of a business household but did not have a registration certificate as prescribed.
Notably, at the time of inspection, this facility was selling a large quantity of food including 3,500kg of beef bones (an animal products) of unknown origin and the owner could not present invoices or documents related to the shipment.
The total value of the above goods according to the listed price at the business establishment is 28,000,000 VND.

Market Management Team No. 9 issued a Decision to administratively sanction Ms. N.T.D with an amount of VND 7,500,000 for not registering to establish a business household in cases where registration is required according to regulations; Fine VND 17,000,000 for trading in goods of unknown origin and origin of food.
The total fine for Ms. N.T.D is 24,500,000 VND. At the same time, all of the above goods were destroyed according to regulations.
According to the representative of Market Management Team No. 9, the timely detection and handling of the above cases shows that the situation of food trading of unknown origin is still complicated, especially in the suburbs, where consumption demand is high but management work is facing many difficulties.
In the coming time, market management forces will strengthen inspection and supervision, closely coordinate with local authorities and local police to prevent and strictly handle violations.
