Forecast of sharp increase in purchasing power

Ms. Dang Ngoc Uyen Phuong - Deputy Director of Co.op Mart Can Tho supermarket - informed that according to the unit's forecast, during the September 2 holiday, customers' shopping needs will increase by 50% or more during peak days.
To ensure adequate supply, we have proactively reserved increased goods compared to the same period, from fresh food to other sources of goods. In particular, the group of essential items was increased in large quantities. All officers and employees of the supermarket will not take a day off and will be ready to work overtime during peak hours," said Ms. Phuong.
Meanwhile, at Tan An market (Ninh Kieu ward) - a large wholesale market in the center of Can Tho city, the preparation of goods to supply for the holiday has also been basically completed, focusing on fresh food.
Ms. Ly Thi Cam Chau - Head of Tan An Market Management Board - said: "Tan An Market currently has about 200 small traders doing business and trading, with the quantity of fresh food provided from 15 - 20 tons/day. With the forecast of increased purchasing power during the holidays, the Market Management Board as well as traders have increased goods and food to meet consumer demand".
Price stability
These days, purchasing power at Co.op Mart Can Tho supermarket has begun to increase. Accordingly, in parallel with increasing goods, the unit also launched many incentive programs and promotions to stimulate shopping.

At Tan An market, holiday price stabilization programs will also be applied to ensure consumers' shopping needs.
"Fresh food items, especially seafood that are quite popular during the holiday, will be stabilized in price, ensuring no sudden increases, affecting people's shopping, preparing for a complete holiday and spending reasonably," said Ms. Chau.
