The situation of smuggling, trade fraud, production and trading of counterfeit goods in the capital continues to be complicated, especially in the environment of e-commerce and social networks. Recent statistics show that there is a lot of pressure on the authorities in inspecting and controlling the market.
From the beginning of 2025 to now, the Market Management Department of Hanoi has inspected and handled 4,762 cases, transferring 80 cases to the investigation agency.
The total amount of money collected for the budget reached 97.8 billion VND. Notably, there were 1,194 cases related to counterfeit goods and goods violating intellectual property rights, with the value of the exhibits being more than 4.8 billion VND, the amount of fines collected reached 14.8 billion VND.
Recently, the Hanoi Market Management Department coordinated with Thang Pham & Associates Law Firm to organize a Workshop on identifying real and fake goods for Unilever products. This is considered a practical activity to equip knowledge and professional skills for the enforcement force in the face of increasing pressure in market control.

"Fraudulent goods cause great damage to businesses, but the more worrying thing is that they directly threaten people's health and property. Therefore, the Market Management force must continuously update new knowledge, skills and identification methods, Mr. Duong Manh Hung stated.
