According to Lao Dong, shopping malls in Ho Chi Minh City are bustling with shoppers in the days leading up to Lunar New Year. The most popular items are clothes, shoes and gifts.

Brands also launch promotions, with discounts from 10-50%, even for high-end brands.
Ms. Le Thanh Van - an employee of a handbag brand at Vincom Dong Khoi (District 1) - said that the number of customers coming to shop increased by 10-20% compared to normal days.
"We have promotions for our products so customers are quite excited about shopping. Many people and tourists come to the shopping center to have fun and eat, making the atmosphere here more bustling" - Ms. Thanh Van shared.

Representatives of some shopping malls reported that the number of visitors is growing quite well compared to normal days, with crowded scenes occurring from morning to late at night. Many shopping malls have adjusted their operating hours to serve the people.

It is expected that during the Lunar New Year, the number of visitors to shopping malls will increase. Discount programs and lucky money for customers will continue to be implemented to stimulate Tet shopping.
