On August 14, the Lao Cai Provincial Party Committee Office announced that the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee had agreed to discipline Mr. Lo Van Manh - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Phong Du Thuong Commune Party Committee, term 2025-2030; Delegate of the People's Council of Phong Du Thuong Commune, term 2021-2026, by expelling him from the Party.

According to the leaders of the Provincial Party Committee, after reviewing the submission of the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee, the Standing Committee discussed, analyzed, and carefully and thoroughly assessed the content, motive, nature, extent, consequences, and causes of Mr. Lo Van Manh's violation.

Based on the Party's regulations on disciplining violating Party members and the voting results, the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee decided to discipline Mr. Lo Van Manh by expelling him from the Party.

Lao Cai Provincial Party Committee also assigned the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council to direct and consider the dismissal of Mr. Lo Van Manh as a delegate of the People's Council of Phong Du Thuong Commune, term 2021-2026, according to regulations.

Previously, Mr. Lo Van Manh drove a car with alcohol concentration in his body and caused a serious accident, killing 1 person and injuring 11 others.

Prime Minister disciplines former Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City Le Thanh Hai, removes all positions

The Prime Minister has just issued Decision No. 1720/QD-TTg to discipline Mr. Le Thanh Hai - former Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee.

Accordingly, the Prime Minister disciplined Mr. Le Thanh Hai by removing his status as Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee and other positions.

The reason is that Mr. Le Thanh Hai has committed violations and shortcomings in his work and the Central Executive Committee has taken disciplinary action against the Party; the disciplinary action period is from the date of announcement of Decision 1261 dated May 21 of the Central Executive Committee.

Forced dismissal of Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Nguyen Ba Hoan

In Decision No. 1721/QD-TTg, the Prime Minister disciplined Mr. Nguyen Ba Hoan - Deputy Minister of Home Affairs by forcing him to resign due to violations and shortcomings in his work and the Secretariat disciplined him by expelling him from the Party.

The disciplinary period is calculated from the effective date of Decision No. 2221 dated June 27 of the Secretariat.
