On June 6, in Hanoi, Senior Lieutenant General Vo Minh Luong, member of the Party Central Committee, member of the Central Military Commission, Deputy Minister of National Defense chaired a conference to hand over the duties and responsibilities of the Chief Inspector of the Ministry of National Defense.
The conference was attended by Senior Lieutenant General Phung Si Tan, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army.
Implementing Decision No. 193 of the Minister of National Defense on the transfer and appointment of Lieutenant General Nguyen Quoc Duyet, Commander of the Hanoi Capital Command to hold the position of Chief Inspector of the Ministry of National Defense, replacing Lieutenant General Le Dinh Thuong on leave to retire in preparation for retirement.
At the conference, the delegates heard the report on handing over the responsibility and task of the Chief Inspector of the Ministry of Defense between Lieutenant General Le Dinh Thuong (handed over) and Lieutenant General Nguyen Quoc Duyet (the recipient of the handover).
Speaking at the conference, Senior Lieutenant General Vo Minh Luong acknowledged and praised the contributions of Lieutenant General Le Dinh Thuong throughout his work.
As Chief Inspector of the Ministry of National Defense (from June 2021 to present), he has united with the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and the Commander of the Ministry of National Defense Inspectorate to lead and direct the Ministry of National Defense Inspectorate and the National Defense Inspectorate to successfully complete many tasks assigned.
Senior Lieutenant General Vo Minh Luong hopes that after retiring, Lieutenant General Le Dinh Thuong will continue to promote the good qualities of Uncle Ho's soldiers, contributing to building the locality to become stronger and richer.
