On May 27, in Hanoi, the Ministry of National Defense and the Ministry of Health held a conference to summarize 10 years of implementing the coordination regulations (Coordination Regulations No. 162/QCPH-BQP-BYT dated January 9, 2015).
General Phan Van Giang - Politburo member, Deputy Secretary of the Central Military Commission, Minister of National Defense and comrade Dao Hong Lan - Member of the Party Central Committee, Minister of Health co-chaired the conference.
At the conference, delegates discussed, gave opinions, and clarified a number of issues in the coordination between the two Ministries. Over the past 10 years, the Ministry of National Defense and the Ministry of Health have coordinated closely and comprehensively, achieving practical results.
The Ministry of National Defense and the Ministry of Health always promote their roles and responsibilities in coordinating the implementation of national defense work associated with health, health care associated with national defense. With the function of strategic consulting, the two Ministries have proactively coordinated research and consulting with the Party and State on many strategic policies and strategies on military, defense and health;
From there, it is proposed to issue legal documents, leadership documents, and instructions on the good implementation of military and defense tasks associated with health care, health care associated with military and defense; ensuring smooth, synchronous and unified operation.
The network of military and civilian health facilities is planned in the direction of harmoniously combining grassroots health care and specialized health care; between armed forces and civilian health care associated with building the potential of national defense and security health care.
Notably, 25 general hospitals and 5 specialized hospitals of the Ministry of National Defense are integrated into the network of medical facilities, both meeting the needs of the people and being ready to meet the requirements of national defense tasks.
Speaking at the Conference, Ms. Dao Hong Lan - Minister of Health expressed respect and thanks to the leaders of the Ministry of Defense for paying attention to the leadership and direction of the Military Medical Sector and agencies and units in the army closely and effectively coordinating with the health sector from the central to grassroots level.
In which, the two Ministries have advised the Government and the Prime Minister to issue Decrees and Decisions on the coordination of military-civilian medicine and the Program for the Development of Vietnamese and island health to 2030...
At the conference, Minister Phan Van Giang and Minister Dao Hong Lan signed the Coordination Regulation between the Ministry of National Defense and the Ministry of Health, replacing Coordination Regulation No. 162.
On this occasion, the leaders of the two ministries presented and received "Medals for the cause of building the Vietnam People's Army"; "Medal for the people's health" and awarded the collective to successfully complete the task of coordination.
Concluding the conference, on behalf of the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense, General Phan Van Giang highly appreciated the coordination between the two Ministries in the fields of national defense and security associated with health and medicine associated with national defense and security.
The agencies and units of the two Ministries have promoted political responsibility, thoroughly grasped and seriously implemented the Central Directives and Resolutions, laws, decrees and Government Decisions on health and defense work.
