Responding to the call of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF), on September 11, many organizations, businesses and individuals came to the headquarters of the VFF at 46 Trang Thi, Hanoi to directly contribute more resources to support people in localities suffering from damage caused by storm No. 3.
During the day, Politburo member, Party Central Committee Secretary, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Do Van Chien received support money from many businesses, organizations and units.
According to Mr. Do Van Chien, the storm has left behind very serious consequences, many people need support and help. Therefore, promoting the tradition of solidarity, mutual love, "love others as you love yourself", "the whole leaves cover the torn leaves", the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front organized a launching ceremony to support compatriots affected by storm No. 3.
At the launching ceremony, agencies, businesses, organizations, philanthropists and localities supported and registered to support over 407 billion VND.
Based on the damage situation and actual conditions of the localities, the Central Relief Mobilization Committee agreed to provide the first phase of support to 20 localities affected by storm No. 3 with a total amount of 380 billion VND.
Accordingly, support for 8 provinces: Lang Son, Cao Bang, Lao Cai, Yen Bai, Phu Tho, Bac Giang, Thai Nguyen, Hoa Binh, each province 30 billion VND; support for 8 provinces: Thai Binh, Hung Yen, Hai Duong, Lai Chau, Son La, Dien Bien, Tuyen Quang, Bac Kan, each province 15 billion VND; support for 4 provinces: Ninh Binh, Bac Ninh, Nam Dinh, Ha Giang, each province 5 billion VND.
The Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front sent his thanks and gratitude to agencies, organizations and individuals who have made noble gestures of encouragement and support to help our people overcome this disaster.
Mr. Do Van Chien pledged that the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the Central Relief Mobilization Committee will use the donated funds for the right purposes, effectively, and allocate them promptly, openly, transparently, and in accordance with the law, so that the received money will reach the people of the provinces that are heavily affected by storms and floods.
"No matter how fierce the storm is, it will pass. Only comradeship and brotherhood will remain forever along with the fine cultural traditions of the Vietnamese people," Mr. Do Van Chien emphasized.
Mr. Do Van Chien hopes that organizations, businesses and individuals will continue to spread the spirit of "mutual love", "the rich help the poor", each person joins hands to contribute more resources, share both material and spiritual things to support people in localities affected by natural disasters to soon overcome this difficult period.
