On the afternoon of October 17, delegates attending the Congress approved the draft document of the first Provincial Party Committee of Ca Mau province, term 2025 - 2030.
Notably, Ca Mau province sets a target of having a growth rate of gross regional domestic product (GRDP) of an average of 10% or more per 5 years (2026 - 2030); GRDP per capita to 2030 is over 6,000 USD; total 5-year export turnover is about 17 billion USD; total 5-year budget revenue is about 75,000 billion VND; the urbanization rate by 2030 exceeds the prescribed target; 5-year social housing development is over 4,200 units; the rate of trained workers to 2030 is about 80%; the rate of poor households (according to the new multidimensional poverty standard) decreases by about 1 - 1.5%/year...
The Congress also identified 6 key tasks in the 2025 - 2030 term: Building a clean and strong Party and political system; rapid and sustainable economic development; planning and implementing key projects; developing science, technology, digital transformation and innovation; developing education - training, healthcare, culture - society; ensuring national defense - security.
Select 3 breakthroughs: institutional breakthroughs, innovation, improving the effectiveness of law making and enforcement, in order to unlock resources, create growth momentum; breakthrough in human resource development; breakthrough in synchronous and modern socio-economic infrastructure development.
Notably, Ca Mau will adjust the planning for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050, in accordance with the space and development orientation of the province, the region and the whole country. Prioritize resources and determination, resolutely implement important projects with high impact and spread, create motivation to attract investment, in order to grow quickly and sustainably.
Special attention should be paid to projects on transport infrastructure, airports, seaports, irrigation, cultural and sports works, economic zones, industrial parks and clusters with advantages in transport connectivity; projects on developing clean energy, processing industry; projects on land encroachment; projects on riverbank and coastal erosion; renovation and relocation of houses along rivers... Review and exploit the effective use of works, projects, public land funds, and agency headquarters after the arrangement, absolutely do not let them go to waste.
