During the 2 days of August 27 - 28, the 14th Tra Con Commune Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030, took place successfully.
Tra Con commune was merged from 3 communes of Tan My, Tra Con, Nhon Binh with a part of the natural area and population of Tam Binh town according to Resolution No. 1687 of the National Assembly Standing Committee.
In the 2020 - 2025 term, Tra Con commune achieved 12/14 targets of the Resolution. Average income per capita is estimated at 53 million VND, an increase of 13 million compared to 2020; poor households have decreased to 80 households, accounting for 0.4% of the total number of households.
Political security, social order and safety are maintained, local military and defense work is strengthened. The work of Party building, Government, activities of the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations have had many positive changes, creating an important foundation for Tra Con commune to make a breakthrough in the new term.
In the 2025 - 2030 term, with the motto "Solidarity - Democracy - Discipline - Breakthrough - Development", the Tra Con Commune People's Congress unanimously set out 20 main targets in various fields, 2 breakthroughs and 6 key tasks. Strive to have an average income per capita of VND 80 million/person/year by 2030; 100% of people participate in health insurance; Build communes to meet new rural standards
Speaking at the Congress, Mr. Kim Ngoc Thai - Deputy Secretary of the Vinh Long Provincial Party Committee - praised the outstanding achievements of the Party Committee, Government and people of Tra Con commune in the past term.
At the same time, it is required that in the new term, the Tra Con Commune Party Committee needs to review and adjust the planning in accordance with the province, stabilize the organization and build solidarity in the Party Committee. It is necessary to clearly identify key projects and tasks and implement the Resolution with the spirit of "clear people, clear work, clear responsibilities, clear progress, clear efficiency".
The focus of the term is on socio-economic development, improving people's lives, making the most of land, human resources and geographical locations, shifting the structure towards industrialization, modernizing rural agriculture, and consolidating the great national unity bloc.
"Continuing to take care of social security, promote the private economy, effectively mobilize resources for infrastructure investment, promote digital transformation, build e-government, improve the quality of education, maintain national defense and security, strive to build Tra Con commune rich, beautiful and civilized", Mr. Thai emphasized.
The Congress approved the decision of the Standing Committee of the Vinh Long Provincial Party Committee to appoint the Executive Committee of the Tra Con Commune Party Committee for the 2025 - 2030 term, consisting of 26 comrades and the Standing Committee of 11 comrades. Comrade Nguyen Thi Tuyen was appointed to hold the position of Secretary of the Tra Con Commune Party Committee, term 2025 - 2030.
