On August 14, the 1st Congress of the Long Chau Ward Party Committee, Vinh Long Province, term 2025 - 2030 closed, with 225 delegates representing 2,208 Party members in the entire Party Committee.
The Long Chau Ward Party Committee was established under Decision No. 1277-QD/TU dated June 16, 2025 of the Standing Committee of the Vinh Long Provincial Party Committee, on the basis of merging the grassroots Party Committee of Ward 1, the grassroots Party Committee of Ward 9 and the grassroots Party Committee of Truong An Ward.
In the 2020 - 2025 term, despite difficulties, the locality still achieved and exceeded 12/14 targets, economic growth, culture - society changed positively, security was guaranteed, national defense - security was maintained.
At the Congress, delegates also discussed, delivered opinions and contributed opinions to the draft documents of the 14th National Congress of the Party and documents of the 12th Vinh Long Provincial Party Congress.
With the motto "Solidarity - Democracy - Discipline - Breakthrough - Development", term 2025 - 2030, Long Chau Ward Party Committee aims to build a clean and strong Party and political system; promote the strength of national unity; maintain national defense and security; develop the socio-economy quickly, sustainably and comprehensively.
The Party Committee focuses on 2 breakthroughs: Developing the urban economy associated with digital transformation and managing planning, building infrastructure; at the same time, deploying 6 groups of solutions to promote internal resources and take advantage of external resources.
The Congress agreed on 18 main targets on economy, culture - society, environment, national defense, security and building the political system. Notably, the target of average income of VND 120 million, 100% urbanization rate by 2030, 30%/year trade - service growth and poverty reduction according to the province's assigned targets.
Speaking at the Congress, Mr. Nguyen Truc Son - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Vinh Long province - acknowledged and praised the efforts and results that the Party Committee, government and people of Long Chau ward have achieved in the past term.
Mr. Son suggested that the Ward Party Committee continue to build a team of cadres and Party members who are brave, dare to think, dare to do; arouse the spirit of overcoming difficulties among the people; mobilize resources to build a civilized, modern locality worthy of the province's key ward status. Immediately after the Congress, the Party Committee deployed a plan to implement the Resolution, assigning "clear people, clear work, clear responsibilities", requiring each member of the Executive Committee to "study, self-train, set an example" to complete the set goals.
The Congress announced the Executive Committee of the Long Chau Ward Party Committee, term I, 2025 - 2030, consisting of 32 comrades, the Standing Committee of 11 comrades; Comrade Vo Quoc Thanh was appointed as Secretary of the Long Chau Ward Party Committee for the term 2025 - 2030.
The Standing Committee of the Vinh Long Provincial Party Committee also appointed 4 delegates to attend the Provincial Party Congress, including 3 official delegates and 1 absent delegate.
